Step 1: Know What You Want To Blog About
The first thing you want to do, when coming up with ideas for for fashion blog name, is to write out what your want your blog to be about. The more you write out what you want your blog to be about, the easier it will be to come up with your blog name – and easier to write posts for your blog. Try and get as specific as possible.
Here is an example:
“I want my fashion blog to be about college life. The clothing I will show on my blog will be down to earth, street wear. I will take photos of people on the street around my uni, and maybe get other people to post around the US. It will be about being yourself, being stylish, and looking good – even on a college students budget. “
From this description of what I want my fashion blog to be about, I can start pulling out words from it and create some names:
- Freshmanista
- Haute ID
- Orientation & Style
- Backpack Chic
- Haute Backpack
- Campus Look Book
- Campus Palette
- Style Schedule
- Professors and Palettes
- Street Cotton
Exercise: So here is your exercise. Write a paragraph or more about what you want your blog to be about. Try and get as specific as possible. Answer these two questions:
- What do you want to blog about?
- Why do you want to blog?
Step 2: Brainstorming Words
Look at your paragraph that describes what you want your blog to be about. Start pulling out words from it, and come up with other words or other ways that describe it (use the thesaurus).
Will your fashion blog be about:
- Luxury (Glitz, Glamour, Runway)

- Maternity ( Bump, 9 Months, Expecting, Glowing, Beginning, Nurture)

Why are you starting a blog?
- To show my style (Mirror, Closet, Home)
- To help others (Academy, Chef, Tailoring)
- I’m bored (Colors, Adventure, Rebel)
Exercise: Use these words that describe your new blog and mix them with words about fashion. Here are some fashion words to get get you started (add to the list of words that describe fashion and beauty):
